Edge of Desire by Jessica Marin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Oh. Em. Gee!!! I have been waiting for Sean’s story since I was introduced to him in Heartbreak Warefare, and Jessica did not disappoint.
What a ride of emotions and suspense… my kind of read! Sean wants to see the good in everyone, but when Cora once again manipulates him, he starts to realize that there is more in the world than her… like family friend and Cal’s nanny, Isla. The push and pull between them is delicious, both wanting it to work while outside forces work against them, eating away at the tenuous connection.
I loved having Cora’s perspective added in, it was like getting an inside view of where each character stood, seeing the them like pieces on a chess board and waiting in anticipation of what move will bring it to checkmate.
While I am sad to see this series come to an end, I’ve enjoyed each story along the way, and hope we get to see these characters in future works.
If you haven’t read Heartbreak Warefare or Perfectly Lonely, be sure to catch up on them so you can get to this sizzling end!
